Joe the Marine?

Has anybody else seen this picture?

Can you read what he's holding up?

I am a former Marine.
I work two jobs.
I don’t have health insurance.
I worked 60-70 hours a week for 8 years to pay my way through college.
I haven’t had 4 consecutive days off in over 4 years.
But I don’t blame Wall Street.
Suck it up you whiners.
I am the 53%.
God bless the USA!

Joe the Marine?  Or more like Joe the Plumber?

  1. My guess is that somebody (one of our corporate masters, or one of their whores) wrote what he thought the 'average American' should be willing and able to do, wrote it out on a small sign and found some guy to hold it.

Who needs health insurance? Who needs vacations? Suck it up! Work your 70 - 80 hours a week and be happy!

  2. It may be fake, it may be real. If the guy is real, and serious, I would love to have him working for me, I could put so much money in my pocket with employees like that. I'd make them bring their own toilet paper to work too, why should the job creators pay to clean up the dirt workers smear on their own back ends.
    I don't get the 53, 53 of what?

  3. Is he bragging or complaining? That "53%" BS comes straight from FOX.

Let him continue to suck it up. Apparently, he likes it. Perhaps he is a masochist.

  5. Darrell, the 53% refers to the opposite of the 47% who "don't pay any taxes."

Ad yes, that would be the kind of employee to have. If you could look yourself in the mirror.

  6. Sarge, he appears to be bragging. Whit, he's either a masochist or a great 'hyperbolizer.'

  7. NAC,
The man is a typical Marine. You know, I wanted to be a Marine. Alas, I scored too high on the test...

  8. On the brighter side, if what that sumbitch says is true, we don't have to worry about him reproducing.
