However, part of that loss is due to the unions shooting themselves in the foot on occasion.

Now, if the "liberal press" were smart, they would post more articles about how close the race was, (as the election got closer), thereby encouraging the Koch boys to buy more ad time on those same liberal press airwaves. If the press can pocket a few million, that'd pay for future investigative articles on the Koch connections. :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3322724229017866228.post-35795626450647386792012-06-21T06:14:12.274-07:002012-06-21T06:14:12.274-07:00I still can't figure out why so many people ha...I still can't figure out why so many people hate unions, these days there really are very few (as a percent) union members remaining in this nation. This election will be seen (incorrectly) as more proof they support losing causes and are troublemakers. Corporate America wants them dead and gone and outlawed so they can cut health care and paid vacations.the yellow fringehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00003652058436636394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3322724229017866228.post-13476643762431387182012-06-11T04:43:47.448-07:002012-06-11T04:43:47.448-07:00I find good points in both editorials you posted. ...I find good points in both editorials you posted. Of course, I'm more inclined to believe that money made the difference in Wisconsin's recall vote. BUT, a lot of people simply didn't like the fact that a duly elected governor (asshole though he might be) was under threat of being purged by the party and people he had defeated and NOT from criminal corruption or malfeasance. I have been told that a percentage of Wisconsin voters saw this entire recall process as a case of sour grapes and wanted no part of it. Some even switched sides and voted to confirm Walker's election because they were so turned off by the prospect of the unwarranted recall.
Having said that, I also know how damaging this will be for American politics in the future. Billionaires and bundlers will be rightly emboldened to make those massive donations now that they've purchased a critical election.
Strange times...squatlohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00041016017342355678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3322724229017866228.post-78882269786204306082012-06-10T09:24:34.500-07:002012-06-10T09:24:34.500-07:00notacynic:
